LOOKING FOR A SERVANT OPPORTUNITY? Consider becoming part of the St. Marks Early Response Team!

Saturday, June 1st (9 am – 5 pm), in the CLC

The mission of United Methodist Disaster Response in the Mississippi Conference is to

provide a caring Christian presence in the aftermath of a disaster that begins with

the disaster (once the area has been declared safe by first responders).

St. Marks will host an UMCOR Early Response Team basic training event on

Saturday, June 1, in the CLC from 9 to 5. You will be trained in the phases of

disaster response, specific tasks undertaken in disaster response and on how to

interact with disaster victims.

The cost of the course is $40 and includes lunch, background check, t-shirt,

and ERT credentials. Registration must be made on the Mississippi United

Methodist Conference website at link below.
