A Message From Pastor Milton
This week we welcome Prep A to St John’s (9:30 am service) and Prep B to Bethany. The Prep A class are going to share with us about How do we make good decisions? They are going to be sharing how the
Good Samaritan made a good decision in helping the injured man. They will be encouraging us with the fact that when we help others in need we are making a good decision. The Prep B class are also talking about God’s love for us in Jesus. They will be retelling the story of the Lost (Prodigal) son. How the son in Jesus’ story made some terrible decisions but in the end decided to return home – a good decision. The climax of the story is the fact that his father welcomed him back with open arms. This reminds us that God always welcomes us with open arms, even when we have sometimes wandered away from him. We thank God for our School and for the opportunity for both the Prep classes together with their parents and friends to join us in our worship services this Sunday. Milton

Knowing Christ and Making Him Known For you to think, pray and talk about. Over the next 10 weeks, we will be including in the bulletin some discussion starters about evangelism. These discussion starters link in well with the Renew Mission Life Sermon Series and Bible Study series that is happening throughout our churches. Please use these discussion starters as part of your personal and family devotions. Evangelism – involves you becoming Christ like. One of the themes of scripture is that we are called to become like Christ; Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5. Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 1 John 2:6. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:15. And to become Christ like we need to allow the stories to resonate in our life. Take time to read the stories of Jesus, as you do think about what is the attitude of Jesus and what does he do? Then think about How much do you match up to Jesus? What in your life needs to change?
