As a benchmark or standard to measure the
level of English communication skills among
UTM graduates:
i. for auditing & quality control in line with international best practices
ii. for policy making
To help enhance marketability of UTM graduates

b) To Students:
i. As evidence (to employers, others and
you yourself) of your ability to use
English upon graduation as required in
the workplace
ii. As a target to motivate yourself to
improve your English communication
skills.

you have the necessary English
communication skills.
Jobstreet Survey among 3,800 employers:
53.8% of employers said they did not hire new
graduates because the graduates lacked English
language communication skills.
