Help Close the Gap!by Dean Majette, Senior Pastor

Dear Church Member,The Stewardship Committee has asked that a special, one-time “over and above” offering be taken this month to avoid carrying over a $40,000 deficit from last year’s budget that ended on September 30, 2014. If we fail to close the gap, we will have to absorb that amount into this year’s budget likely causing some deep cuts in this year’s ministries and programs.

Please look for the special offering envelope for our Fall Catch Up Campaign in the mail and in the pew backs in the Sanctuary.

Remember, this should be an “over and above” gift so that it won’t affect your regular giving.

Our church depends on regular contributions from its members and supporters to carry out the mission we all want and expect. During these uncertain financial times, we realize it requires sacrifice. Your Stewardship Committee and church staff is committed to honoring those sacrificial gifts with careful spending.

This year’s budget went through a rigorous review to make sure that our tithes and offerings are used as wisely as possible. Please join us in praying and giving to keep our church healthy and focused on its mission to share Christ’s love in our community and beyond.

Thank you for your loyal and generous support of Ox Hill Baptist Church.
