Welcome to the third edition of NOFA-NY’s Organic Farm Resource Guide!

This guide helps farmers who are certified organic as well as those interested in organic production practices find the business and organizational resources

to support and grow their operations.

This Guide is NOT a directory of certified organic farms nor is it a listing of approved products for certified organic production. If you are looking for a directory of local certified organic and Farmer’s Pledge farms, please see the annual NOFA-NY Organic Food Guide, available in print at our events and

office and online at www.nofany.org/directory.

Before using any product on your farm, including products listed in this guide, you must contact your certification agency to determine if that prod-

uct is approved for use on certified organic farms! Product formulations can change from year to year and it is your responsibility as a grower to check if

any product you apply on your crops is approved for organic production.

NOFA-NY Certified Organic, LLC can be reached at: (607) 724-9851 or [email protected].

Businesses and organizations included in this Guide come from the sugges-tions and input of our members and staff. Inclusion in this guide does not

mean that NOFA-NY certifies or endorses any of these following organiza-tions. If there is a company or organization that helps you farm that should be included in future Guides, if you would like to update or change your listing, or if you have other suggestions to make this guide more helpful, please let us

know by submitting changes and corrections online at:https://nofa.wufoo.com/forms/nofany-organic-farm-resource-guide-4th-edition/ .

Soil, Compost, and Forage TestingThere are ranges of testing services that help support organic production. Soil tests are essential to understanding a farm’s soil and determining what nutrients may be needed to build the soil or what nutrients might be present in excess quantities.
