No Frills 2015: the iowa challenge
Excel
Engage
Stretch
Choose
Serve
The No Frills 2015 Conference Staff is excited to share the IOWA Challenge with
other schools in the region. The pillars of the IOWA Challenge are: Excel, Engage,
Stretch, Choose and Serve.
We believe the five pillars directly reflect the goals of MACURH and feel that all
students will be able to benefit from experiencing the IOWA Challenge. Since the No
Frills, MACURH, and NACURH conferences are considered leadership and skill-
building opportunities, these five pillars provide students with an additional approach
to build their leadership skills.
Conference dates:
February 13 – 15, 2015

Arriving and Checking In at Conference
1. Registration does not open until 3 pm, so please plan your travels
accordingly!

Parking is provided in the Iowa Memorial Union parking ramp, which is directly across the street from the Iowa Memorial Union. The address for the IMU is: 125 North Madison Street, Iowa City, IA 52242
3. Another parking option is the North Ramp, which is located just two blocks down the street from the IMU parking ramp. It’s address is: 340 North Madison Street, Iowa City, IA 52242
4. After parking, please place your parking ticket in your vehicle’s windshield and we will give you a parking voucher at check-in.
5. When you check in at the IMU, remember to bring:

Additional Reminders
• Don’t forget that Friday’s dinner is on us! We’ll be eating right after Opening Ceremonies and the active Philanthropy for Project Linus.
• As a reminder, our philanthropy event for Project Linus needs your help to be as successful as possible! We are looking for each institution to donate enough fleece blanket material to make one blanket per school. The suggested size is about one and a half to two yards of fleece. Joann Fabrics gives 10% off for tax-exempt organizations! Please bring your blanket materials to check-in so that our Conference Staff can assemble them.
• Please bring chargers and power strips for your electronic devices! Access to outlets in the boardrooms is limited, so it is important to have all devices charged beforehand and to make an effort to charge devices during breaks.
• The Guidebook App for No Frills 2015 is now available! Search “No Frills 2015: The IOWA Challenge” to download the conference guide. Updates will be posted to Guidebook as the conference draws closer and during the conference as well.
• A ton of bids were submitted for discussion at No Frills 2015. In order to have the most productive and efficient boardrooms possible, we recommend looking over the bids during your drive to Iowa City!
