India to launch Chandrayaan-3 this year: Minister New Delhi, Jan 1 Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Dr Jitendra Singh has said that India will launch Chandrayaan-3 in 2020. Briefing reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Dr. Singh asserted that the mission cost will be less than Chandrayaan-2. He added that the experience gathered from Chandrayaan-2 and available infrastructure will bring down the cost of National Tribal Dance Festival held at Raipur Nicobarese Tribal students mesmerized gathering with traditional folk dance Port Blair, Jan 1 The National Tribal Dance Festival was organized at Raipur, Chhattisgarh from 27th to 29th December, 2019. A group of seven Nicobarese Tribal students from JNRM were deputed by A&N Administration to participate in the National Tribal Festival. The team was led by Ms. Amrita Singh, Programme Officer, Kala Kendra. The Island artistes had the opportunity to interact and appreciate Tribal art forms of Sri Lanka, Uganda, Maldives, Thailand, Bangladesh, Belarus besides various Indian tribal art forms. More than 1800 participants from six countries, 25 States and Union Territories participated in the three days dance festival and various competitions which were based on tradition of folk dance forms related to weddings, customary rituals, traditional festivals and agricultural activities were presented. The participants were honoured with certificates and mementos. The dance performance by Nicobarese students during the festival enthralled the audience. The programme was co-ordinated by Kala Kendra -a society under Art & Culture Department, A& N Administration. Chandrayaan-3. Chandrayaan-2 mission was India's first attempt to land on lunar surface. The Indian Space Research Organization had planned its landing on the South Pole of the lunar surface. During the two day flea market, sale of Malabar Foods, special Chota Port Blair, Jan. 1 The Lieutenant Governor (Administrator), A & N Islands has ordered the extension of plying permission of existing inland vessels, not built under Class for a further period of one year from 06.01.2020 to 05.01.2021, in terms of Rule 4 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Inland Vessels Rules, 2016, subject to the conditions that the boat owners submit a written letter/declaration specifying the date of decommissioning of the existing boat/purchase order of new boat. Other conditions are that general examination of hull condition, hull out fittings, weather tightness of decks & water tightness of bottom and side shell are to be carried out at an interval of 06 months jointly by the Surveyors of IRS & A&N Administration and the recommendations of the Surveyors, if any, shall be complied with. Thickness measurement for steel vessels by IRS approved firm would be carried out annually and report to be submitted to the satisfaction of the attending Surveyor. All decked vessel should have IRS approved stability document on- board and all the parameters mentioned in the stability appraisal letter has to be verified on-board to the satisfaction of the attending Surveyor.
