ABOUT NASHVILLENashville is the capital of Tennessee and is located along the Cumberland river. The city is the center for music, healthcare, banking, publishing, and transportation industries. It is also home to a large number of colleges and universities. The current population exceeds 600,000, and the weather in August is in the mid 80’s with humidity. The nightlife is vibrant as it is the home of country music and all that has to offer. BNA is the code for Nashville International Airport, and it is serviced by many of the large carriers. Museums and historical places to see are scattered around the city.

CONVENTION INFOYour fee covers the hotel for Friday and Saturday night, dinner on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, the Annual Meeting, the welcome gift bag and the use of the hospitality suite during the posted hours of operation.

Any pre-convention trips are filled on a first come basis, and the activities are listed later in this packet. We cannot guarantee refunds unless we find a replace-ment for you, and we reserve the right to increase posted costs if fuel surcharges are passed on to us by the transport companies. Trips leave at posted times, and a tour escort will be with you.

Your ID badges or wristband must be worn at all times while attending any NHLBC function. This will include any pre-convention events or visits to the hospitality room during hours of operations.

The LEGAL DRINKING AGE in Tennessee is 21, and as our by-laws state, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted entry into any hospitality room where alcohol is being served

Extra nights are available for $122.00 + tax. These rates are good beginning Sunday, August 2, 2015 through Sunday, August 9, 2015. A link has been set up by the Marriott to make your reservation. You must use this link to reserve your entire stay, meaning your arrival day and departure day must be included. The hotel will transfer the Friday and Saturday night room costs, and your final balance will reflect the cost for your extra nights only. Please make sure your dates are the same as the ones listed on your registration form. The link does not allow for listing roomates, but it does allow to show how many will be sharing the room. Hello, and welcome to NHLBC 2015-Nashville. On behalf of the Detroit Red Wing For ‘em Club, we would like you to join us for a week of fun and family, hockey style.

WAIVERSA waiver form is included that each adult in attendance must sign to assume responsibility for his or her actions. You will not be allowed to register upon arrival unless this form is signed and on file. A parent or guardian will be required to sign a waiver for any children attending

CHILDREN AT CONVENTIONChildren are welcome at convention, and those 16 and under stay for free in the room with their parents, and they must use the beds that are in their room. The fee ($175.00) includes both dinners, breakfasts, and welcome bag. Children are allowed in the ban-quet rooms for meals and to hear any presentations, but when the dancing begins at dinner, they must leave. It is the responsibility of the parents for the conduct of their children at all times. If they become a distraction, they will be asked to leave whatever room they are in by a committee member. No one under the age of 21 shall be allowed into any hospitality room while alcohol is served

Tuesday, August 4thGraceland and Beale Street in Memphis(10:30 am - 11:30 pm)

Travel with us to Memphis, the home of the King! Upon arrival at Graceland, you will have the opportunity to tour the mansion and the grounds (approx. 2.5 hours). When we leave Graceland, our adventure continues on Beale Street, where you will find some great dining options before returning to Nashville.

Your trip includes: round trip transportation, driver gratuity and Graceland admission. no meals are included, but lunch is available at Graceland if you choose. (Minimum of 20 needed for this trip to take place).

Wednesday, August 5thAM Trip: Jack Daniels Distillery followed by lunch at Miss Mary Bobo’s (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Travel with us as we head to Lynchburg and visit the Jack Daniels Distillery. Your guided tour will share the complete story of one of the world’s best known whiskey brands. After the tour, a classic southern lunch experience awaits at Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House.

Your trip includes: round trip transportation, driver gratuity and lunch with gratuity.

PM Trip: Night at the Opry (5:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

What better way to enjoy a night in Nashville than an evening at the Opry. We will start with food and fun at Studio A, the place where the last season of the hit show Hee-Haw was filmed. Following dinner, we will head to the show at the Grand Ole Opry.

Thursday, August 6thAM Trip: Historical Tour - Belle Meade Plantation and Hermitage (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Our historical tour begins by visiting the Belle Meade Plantation, one of America’s premier Thoroughbred Horse Farms. After a tour of the grounds and mansion, you will enjoy complimentary wine tasting, followed by lunch at the Carriage House/Stable House. After lunch, you will leave the plantation and go to the Hermitage, the estate of Andrew Jackson, the 7th President of the United States. Your self-guided tour gives you access the the museum, movie, grounds, tomb, first hermitage, Alfred’s cabin and the Hermitage mansion.

Your trip includes: round trip transportation, driver gratuity and and lunch at Belle Meade with gratuity.

PM Trip: Pub Crawl (6:00 pm - 11:30pm)

Our annual tradition, just a day later than normal. We will begin with a dinner at the Wildhorse Saloon. After dinner, Nashville nightlife awaits! You can chose to stay at the saloon or venture out to some of the many other establishments in the surrounding blocks (including B.B. King’s, Margaritaville, Hard Rock Café, as well as many of the local honky tonks, like Tootsie’s). At the end of the evening, the buses will pick up at a different location, to be decided after meeting with the drivers.

Friday, August 7thAM Trip: Nashville city tour, Country Music Hall of Fame and possible arena tour (8:30 am - 2:30 pm)

Find out why Nashville is such a great place to visit. Enjoy the city tour and then absorb yourself in the Country Music Hall of Fame and possible arena tour.
