2019 Leadership Conference on Aging CALL FOR POSTERS A TRANSDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE ON AGING & ALZHEIMERS: CAREGIVING, DIVERSITY & QUALITY NOVEMBER 12-13, 2019 | Austin Convention Center | Austin, Texas CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES: Raise awareness of opportunities to participate in NIH FOA initiatives supporting PWD such that research evidence from modest advances in therapeutic and preventive strategies might be better communicated and utilized across disciplines. Strengthen participants in the rigorous design, execution, analysis and reporting of quality data supporting non-pharmacological interventions for persons from diverse communities with dementia (PWD). Assist early career attendees in orchestrating full research careers in aging and caregiving for PWD through mentoring activities targeting early career paired with senior scientists. TARGET AUDIENCE: Interdisciplinary Psychiatric-Mental Health, Gerontologic/Geriatric and Primary Care Faculty Interdisciplinary and/or international patient-oriented researchers with an interest in older adults and their caregivers Health care professionals providing care to older adults and their family caregivers Health care provider students at all levels and across all disciplines OLDER ADULTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS ABSTRACT TOPICS OF INTEREST INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Collaborative, interdisciplinary and/or international research on older adults and their caregivers Model interprofessional innovative training programs fo AD/ADRD Innovative evidence-based practice models and systems of health services for older adults & their family caregivers Innovative health promotion and intervention strategies to enhance thriving for older adults and their caregivers National and international health policies related to older adults with disabilities and their family caregivers GENERAL INFORMATION: Presenters are required to pay a $25.00 Abstract Processing Fee and the registration fee for the conference and assume all arrangements and costs related to producing and transporting their poster. Presenters will mount their posters on bulletin boards by noon and must be present to discuss their poster during the 6:00-7:30PM Poster Session & Reception on November 12, 2019. Notification of acceptance, with specific instructions, will be e-mailed by October 10, 2019. DIRECTIONS FOR SUBMISSION: Abstracts should be submitted via the NHCGNE website: by September 13, 2019 To Apply, Visit: https://www.nhcgne.org/leadership-conference/poster-abstracts This will include the following information: the person submitting the abstract and include contact information, including mailing address, email, phone number and employing institution.
