XIV. Through a unanimous meeting vote, the committee requested NFPA Staff explore the

possibility of a revision cycle of one year or less. The technology associated with UAS is

moving at an accelerated speed and the current three to five-year revision cycle offered by

NFPA was viewed as too slow. The committee requests the NFPA Standards Council

examine a faster revision cycle to allow the standard to remain relevant based on the pace

of technological advancements in the UAS field.

XV. Next meeting confirmed for May 7 – 9, 2017 in Dallas, TX.
