INTRODUCTIONNAFIGATE Corporation, a.s. is Czech technological company which:

1. deals with breakthrough innovations and technologies for market entry;

2. subsequently sells them in the license form.

NAFIGATE cooperates with academics to design and implement business plans and eff ectively interconnects research and commercial sphere as a realization of science and research outputs. In the fi eld of nanofi bers, NAFIGATE has a unique market position. It uses the successful Czech production technology Nanospider, where has been developed and produced innovative fi lters for air and water purifi cation. Nanofi brous technology also applies to the professional cosmetics production. Th e globally breakthrough technology of NAFIGATE is Hydal technology as well, which is upcycling the waste cooking oil to PHA biopolymer in the Waste to Material concept. NAFIGATE Corporation, a.s. is so-called technology and owner of Hydal brand. At the same time, it is also a research and development center for biotechnology and applications.

Breakthrough technologies and applications with global impactNAFIGATE sells several breakthrough technologies licenses which have the potential to take part in solving of major global issues.

Th ese technologies include Hydal biotechnology, with the ambition to replace the number of existing materials with negative impact on the environment, by new biodegradable materials on the PHA‘s base. Th e Hydal, as the world‘s fi rst technology, is using 100% waste in the form of used frying oil to produce biopolymers.

One of the products with the potential to signifi cantly improve the world is the EcoBrane nanofi ber-based fi lter for water fi ltration. Unlike existing solutions, it does not need any external power source to operate, because gravity is suffi cient entirely. EcoBrane is the hope for up to 2 billion people around the world who do not have access to drinking water.

Another product developed by NAFIGATE is Nanocleaner – nanofi brous air fi lter for windows and doors. It is a product that takes full advantage of the unique properties of nanofi bers – especially the ability to create barriers for penetration of even the smallest objects such as bacteria, viruses and dust particles.

Th e both products are Zero Carbon – for its function they consume no power and produce no emissions.

Unique know-how in the nanofi bers fi eld NAFIGATE has a unique position in nanofi ber market. It uses the patented Czech technology Nanospider (the producer of this technology is the Czech company ELMARCO, s.r.o.), which makes possible to produce nanofi bers in diameter of less than 100 microns in series as the only one.

Growing global demand in nano and bio segmentNanofi bers represent a very promising market with a great growth potential at tens of percent per year, which is confi rmed by many professional studies. Market development lies in the nanofi brous applications development that provides solutions to major global issues including air and water fi ltration. Due to the fact that these problems aff ect millions of people around the world and without solving them a number of regions with huge potential demand are not being able to be further developed, nanofi bers are a great business opportunity.Biopolymers and bioplastics are dynamically developing segment. We produce PHA biopolymer fully biodegradable in soil, water and marine and is biocompatible (natural part of the human body). Biopolymers are materials of the future thanks to their properties – as substitut of microplastics, for new product types, for example 3D printing, UV protection – and substitute of synthetic plastics where biodegradability is necessary.

In 2012 NAFIGATE succeeded in

concluding signifi cant scientifi c

and research cooperation with the

Technical University in Brno and

the Institute of Microbiology of the

Academy of Sciences, with which

the development of a joint project

of biotechnology Hydal has begun.

Th anks to this cooperation, Hydal

was ready for a pilot operation one

year later.

Th e year 2015 brought the fi rst

prestigious award for the company,

winning the Best Innovation

Award at EXPO 2015 for its

Nanofi ber Water Membrane and

Hydal biotechnology. Hydal also

received another award „Th e 2015

Frost and Suillivan Technology

Innovation Award“ for technological

innovation. In addition, it succeeded

in establishing cooperation with

the Research Institute of Chemical

Technology in Slovakia (VUCHT),

which led to the establishment

of a pilot line for downstream1 of

Hydal biotechnology. Th e following

year, Hydal Biotechnology was

awardedthree other prestigious

awards, namely the Seal of Excellence

Horizon 2020, the Eastern European

Business Elite Awards and the Top

10 Product Award at the Shenzen

Exhibition (China).

In the fi eld of nanotechnologies,

NAFIGATE has been focusing on the

application of nanofi bers in cosmetics

from the beginning. In 2015, cosmetic

products were split off and a new

company NAFIGATE Cosmetics,

a.s. was established to develop

and sell professional cosmetics

using nanotechnology. NAFIGATE

Cosmetics, a.s. obtained also the

worldwide patent for the Nano Eye

Lift – the nanofi brous undereye mask.

Th e 2017 year was for the direction

of NAFIGATE very important when

the new strategic investor 2 JCP

Invest s.r.o. joined the NAFIGATE,

which also strengthened the

management team. In addition,

this year NAFIGATE won many

prestigious awards in the world.

For Hydal technology, NAFIGATE

has been awarded the Seal of

Excellence for the second time

under Horizon 2020, at the Shenzen

Chinese Exhibition, Nanocleaner

has been ranked among TOP 10

Top 10 Product Award products.

Another strategic investor, Tollerik s.r.o.,

joined the company, which further

strengthened the management

team. NAFIGATE won two more

awards, namely the fi rst place for

the Hydal project in the Innovation

for Sustainable Development

category awarded by the Czech

Business Council for Sustainable

Development (CBCSD) within the

25th year of the Manager of the

Year competition and third place in

the prestigious SGDs (Sustainable

Development Goals).

› Hydal biotechnology Th e breakthrough innovation of NAFIGATE on a global scale is Hydal biotechnology which as the fi rst one uses 100% waste on the industrial scale . Waste is usedin the form of used frying oil to produce a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer PHA, a fully degradable biopolymer which doesn´t harm the nature. Th e technology is Zero Waste with 50% less energy consumption than conventional polyethylene (PE) production, oil is also a surplus on a global scale and for its low quality there is no more effi cient use for this oil. Technologies used to date are using primarily corn or rice to make biopolymers.

Hydal technology has been continuously evolving for over 10 years, and during that time complete know-how has emerged and the fi rst two production lines on the upstream2 and downstream process were built. A key part of technological and manufacturing know-how has been created in the processes of experimental and applied research that NAFIGATE has been carried on since 2012. Th e pilot line for the upstream process is from 2013 in the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the pilot line for the downstream process is from 2015 in the Research Institute of Chemical Technology in Šala in Slovakia. On these lines, production know-how is optimized and fi nalized, including production processes, and producing polymers for the fi rst products.

› Nanofibrous applicationsAmong the NAFIGATE products that are manufactured using Nanospider technology are the EcoBrane water filtration membranes and nanofibrous filters Nanocleaner for windows.

EcoBrane water filtration technologyAnother technology the NAFIGATE has at the last stage of testing is the EcoBrane water filtration technology. Using nanofibers, it can capture all contaminants including most of all bacteria or viruses in contaminated water. The nanofibrous filter is also sufficiently permeable, so unlike the other technology used so far, EcoBrane water filtration technology needs no external power source and filtration takes place only with the help of gravity. EcoBrane thus has the potential, especially in developing countries where no drinking water is available for up to 2 billion people, and the use of existing water filtration technologies is limited in these areas by the need for electricity sources. Since 2017, cooperation with Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace, Ostrava, has been taking place for testing the EcoBrane prototype in the conditions of the water system in Bohemia as well as in Tanzania, where the inhabitants have been facing a fatal shortage of good drinking water for a long time.

Window nanofi brous fi lter NanocleanerNanocleaner is the result of 12 years research and development of nanofi brous membranes for air fi ltration. It is a product that takes full advantage of the unique properties of nanofi bers - especially the ability to create barriers for penetration of even the smallest objects such as bacteria, viruses and dust particles. Nanofi bers create nonwoven fabrics with a pore size of about 100 nanometers. Th rough these pores penetrates almost no pollution from the outside, but they will pass oxygen molecules without diffi culty – they are so small that the passage through nanofi bers is no problem for them. Th us, all external pollution such as smog, dust particles, allergens, odour, viruses or bacteria remains trapped on the Nanocleaner, and only clean air gets into the room.

Nanocleaner looks just like ordinary insect screens at fi rst glance, but unlike those, it has fi ltering and insulating abilities. Th is is particularly important in desert areas where Nanocleaner allows to have an open window without cold escaping from the room. Nanocleaner fi lters also have excellent light transmittance. Th e installation does not require any special knowledge or experience, and it can be handled by a regular user without any problems. Subsequent cleaning of Nanocleaner is also very easy - just take a shower and wash it with a standard detergent.

Vojtěch Kundrát, Senior Researcher Nano

He studied Material Chemistry and Food Chemistry at Masaryk University and

the Technical University in Brno. He invented several patents for the production

of nanofibers from biopolymeric materials. He participates in the research of

water filtration and ceramic nanofibers for special catalytic applications.

Baturalp Yalcinkaya, Senior researcher

Baturalp graduated from Textile Engineering at Suleyman Demirel University

in Turkey. Currently, he works as a Senior researcher and has been involved in

nanofiber projects such as window screens and filter media for air purification.

Daniel Pohludka, Vicepresident for Biodivision

Daniel Pohludka has experience in developing new products from the idea to

successful commercialization in a multinational company – Mars UK a Wrigley

Confections /Mars Inc/. This includes the knowledge of drafting concepts,

protecting intellectual property, setting up implementation criteria, developing

new technologies, from testing them in laboratory facilities to the construction

of operational lines. Since 2011, he has been working in leading positions at

NAFIGATE Corporation, a.s. He is currently conducting Hydal biotechnology

project, coordinating development activities, supporting project documentation

and building a biopolymer-polyhydroxyalkanoate pilot plant in Bohumín.

Brno. He is involved in mathematical modeling and complex engineering of

process in upstream and downstream of biotechnology.

Jiřina Repaská, CEO and Member of the Board

Jiřina Repaská holds the position of CEO and is a Member of the Board of

NAFIGATE Corporation, a.s. With her foundation of sales and marketing

manager, she is performance-oriented, with a strong focus on business

development and she has rich experience in developing and implementing

business and marketing strategies. She has more than 15 years of experience

in sales and marketing management in energetics, in a dynamic multinational

environment (Gaz de France/Engie, SPP) and over 12 years of experience in

human resource management and C-1 leadership.

Lenka Mynářová, Member of the Board

Lenka Mynářová is Member of the Board responsible for the Hydal project. For

more than 20 years, she has been working in marketing and brand management

field. She specializes in the field of science and research marketing. She has

been involved in the creation and management of more than 200 national,

international and global brands in all segments of the markets. She worked

out the marketing strategy of the lower area of Vítkovice (Dolní oblast Vítkovic)

and led the project to build a science center - World of Technology in Ostrava

(Svět techniky). Since 2005 she has worked with Ladislav Mareš. Since the

establishment of NAFIGATE in 2011, she manages all marketing activities and

business development in all markets and for all brands in the company. For

Hydal’s project leading, won the Managers of the Year Award in 2018.

Pavel Čechal, Chairman of the Board

Economist and financier, he has spent his previous professional career in the

management positions of Czech and foreign companies. He is a member of the

management of several companies, focusing on strategic management and

development on a global scale. At Nafigate Corporation he acts as a partner

with a focus on the financial and strategic development of the company.
