For we are beckoned by the Risen Son to respond to grace undeserved. God is calling us! For we are united by the Spirit to follow Jesus on the way. Come, let us worship God. *Hymn Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty 64 (Stanzas 1, 3, and 4) Opening Prayer God our Father, our Creator, who made the heavens and earth, we are your children, and we are in awe of all you have made. Christ the Son, our Redeemer and Savior, you lived and died for us all. You live again, and have prepared the way for us. Holy Spirit, the Sustainer, you move in us and among us. We follow your wisdom and feel your presence. God, Triune, Three-in-One, help us to know you more fully. Guide us in this time of worship. Amen.

Scripture Lesson Romans 5:1-5 Pew Bible p. 942 *John 16:12-15 Pew Bible p. 902

Hear what the Spirit is saying to the church.

Thanks be to God!

Readers: Christa Tooley (9 a.m.), Kathy Oswalt (11 a.m.) *Hymn of Faith We Join in Proclaiming ASH GROVE (9 a.m.) Children Preschool 3’s–Grade 3 are invited to come forward during the hymn. After the Children’s Time, those in Grades 4–5 will worship with their families, while children Preschool 3’s–Grade 3 may follow their leaders downstairs to Kids’ Church. (11 a.m.) Children are invited to worship with their families during this service. Children’s bulletins and activity bags are available from the ushers. Childcare is available for newborn–2 yrs. from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the lower level. We join in proclaiming the faith we believe in— that God is Creator and we are God's own. We trust in Christ Jesus and gladly receive him, for we have been blessed by the love he has shown. Christ died and is risen and, one with the Father, he reigns now in heaven, still loving the earth. The Spirit of God that moved over the waters now moves here among us, empow’ring God’s church.

O God, we have pondered through years of our hist’ry how you can be Father and Spirit and Son. We’ve prayed and we’ve studied and called it a myst’ry that you are three persons and yet you are one. Creating and saving, your church here renewing, you still are one God working many good ways. May we humbly thank you for all you are doing! O God in three persons, we offer you praise.
