Secondary students should be spending this week studying for their yearly exams, which will be held next week. This term will start to fill up and the next half of the term will be very busy. Transition to Kindergarten is going well and will continue for the next 3 weeks. All of Kindergarten to Year 2 as well as our transition students will be off to Altina Wildlife Park for a fun filled day of learning about animals. Years 7/8 will be heading off to Sydney for ASPIRE trip in week 7 as well as all Year 10 students will be attending Crossroads at Lake Burrendong. Please keep an eye on the calendar for up and coming events. Kindergarten to Year 6 students will all be involved in the Intensive Swim Program which will run in Week 7 and 8 (20/11/2017-1/12/2017). More information about this program will be sent home with students at a later date. Last Friday, Constable Craig Skene came and spoke to the students about bullying and mobile phone use. This session was very informative and students were able to ask questions to clarify their understanding. Thank you to Constable Emma Dyball from Lake Cargelligo Police station for coordinating this talk. This Friday we have Brayden Davis visiting the school who will be working with each year group for sport. Students will be involved in a fitness program and should enjoy the experience of having a professional fitness instructor teaching them about fitness. Last week our Year 6 to 8 students were involved in "F1 in Schools program". Students spent Friday in Condobolin observing the students from Condobolin High School, Lake Cargelligo Central School and Ungarie Central school race their cars. This was a great way to introduce STEM as an elective for students in secondary school. K/1/2 have been looking at different topics each week for mathematics. This week our topic has been data where we have been learning to gather data and how to organise it

into a graph. We had been looking at the book 'The Day the Crayons Quit' in literacy. We wrote letters to our favourite coloured crayon, asking them to come back to work. We

then used tally marks to mark our favourite colour and which crayon we were writing our letter to. After gathering this data, it was then used in maths to create our graph. Once the

graph was completed K/1/2 answered questions in relation to the graph. -Miss Ward
