B.S. English Educaon in 1995 from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. M.S. Special Educaon Strategist in 2012 from Minot State University. Hobbies: Reading, wring, walking and listening to music. Teaching faith formaon (religious educaon) at St. Peter’s Parish in Fort Yates. Spending me with my grandchildren. Favorite Food: Homemade tacos Favorite Book: Madeline Fun Facts: I enjoy helping young people Sharon Hanks, Stephanie Yellow Hammer, Glenda Vivier, Meagan Behm, Nina White Eagle find meaning in their work. We have an Ornate Box Turtle that lives with me. Her name is Turtle Girl. She became a member of our family in February 1993 when my son was just five years old. She has been in our family for 25 years now. We lost her at least twice, one me for two days. I didn’t think we would get her back but she was found and returned to our family. She eats earthworms and crickets. MEAGAN BEHM - 1st Grade Hometown: Minot, N.D., moved to Bismarck, then Mandan Educaon Background: Graduated from the University of Mary with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Educaon with a minor in Special Educaon and Catholic Studies. Hobbies: I LOVE traveling (I studied in Rome for four months, traveled Europe prior to that and have been to several states), watching movies and spending me with friends. Favorite Food: Kele Corn popcorn, any kind of pasta Favorite Book: Dragons Love Tacos and Fly A Lile Higher Night Lights Night Lights is our aſter-school program focusing on math, reading and wring. The program runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3:15-4:45 P.M. First-, second- and third-graders aend on Tuesday evenings and fourth-, fiſth- and sixth-graders aend on Thursday evenings. If you are interested in your child aending Night Lights, please contact Deb Roberts or Lillian Plenty Chief at Cannon Ball Elementary. Fall Activities This fall, Cannon Ball Elementary is offering Drum Group, Elementary Girls Basketball, Elementary Cross-Country and Night Lights.

Attendance Incentives Cannon Ball Elementary attendance goal is 93%.Your child’s attendance is very important.

Cannon Ball Elementary will be celebrating student attendance with quarterly attendance incentives. Each student who has 90% attendance with only two tardies will be eligible for the first-quarter attendance incentive to PAPA’S PUMPKIN PATCH!!

Attendance Information: A full school day is 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Any student who arrives at school after 8:30 am is tardy.

Any absence (excused or unexcused) counts as an absence. Please call the school if your child is sick or will be gone. If your child was gone for a medical appointment please bring Ms. Lilli a medical slip and your child’s will be excused.

Thank you for getting your students to school on time!

Cross CountryOn Saturday, Sept. 8, our elementary cross country team participated in the Kiwanis Invite in Mandan. Rosie Ramsey took 2nd place.

Elementary Girls BasketballOn Monday, Sept. 17, our elementary girls’ basketball team had a game against Rock Creek. The Lady Sioux took a tough loss, but played hard! Final score was 36-22.
