When things turn sour and we need help, we always want to turn to some- one who can respond in a quick manner. Sometimes those peo- ple who are willing to go that extra mile, or at times even put their lives on the line for us don’t receive the thanks and appreciation they deserve. Five Flags Speedway and staff is stepping up to- night with a big “THANK YOU” to our local First Responders. We are showing our thanks to the local Sheriff’s departments, Fire depart- ments, EMS and everyone that comes to our aid in an emergency situation. Maybe you are saying I used the words thank you too much in this article, but, I don’t believe so. First Responders, this is our night to honor you with a big THANK YOU” and we want you and your families to sit back and enjoy a great night of racing and good food from us, and our sponsors listed inside. I also welcome the Big Brothers & Big Sisters. Enjoy your first race. Speaking of racing, let us not forget about all the great racing that will take place tonight. Sponsored by Lloyd’s Auto Glass, this will be double point in the Pro Late Model, Modified, Sports- man and Bomber divisions. Our points battle could also be de- cided tonight in most all classes. They are unbelievably close and could make or break some drivers. Can you be- lieve Ronnie Smith and Keith Thorpe are tied in the Pro Late Model division? Just a reminder to our fans that we only have 2 nights of racing left after to- night. On September 25th we will have our last Miller Lite 100 Super Late Model Blizzard race. We will close out our regular 2009 season on October 9th with the Night of Champions which will include a 100 lap event for the Pro Late Models. Also on tap for that night will be Modified, Sportsman and Bombers. Then it will be time to gear up for the Snowball Derby. Until next time I wish all of you health and happy days. I gotta say it one more time….”THANK YOU FIRST RESPONDERS”!!!
