Councillor Smith

Visits Old Moat Primary Last Friday, our local MP, Jeff Smith visited our school to see some of our children reading. We have two lovely volunteers from an organisation called Beanstalk, who read twice a week with six lucky children. Representatives from Save the Children, who fund some of Beanstalk’s work with us, invited Jeff to our school to see the great work that the volunteers do. Everyone involved said how fantastic our children were, and enjoyed watching the children playing games and reading so enthusiastically with the volunteers.
