Dear Fellow Residents,

My efforts since the very inception of my political ca-reer has always been to work together with the constituents. Furthering that effort I have tried to reach out to as many people as I possibly can so as to understand their is-sues and collectively try to solve them. I have in the past as well been very accessible to the constituents, however with the introduction of social media and its various channels I would like to in-crease my accessibility even further. I have therefore decided to introduce this periodic newsletter so that the citizens are aware of all the work that is being carried out in the neighbourhood. It would also allow the citizens to have a voice and air their views openly. If you go through this newsletter you will gain insight about the various initiatives that have been carried out just in the months of August , September and October of 2013. They include activities such as Dengue Malaria awareness drive, setting up of renal dialysis center, health checkup camps, supporting cochlear implant programme, various social is-sues like starting Government Subsidies vegetable center, implementing CCTV camera installation, promoting various civic improvement issues in various area. All this has been possible with the constant follow ups and efforts put in collectively. The idea solely being to make the Bandra Assembly a better place to live in. Let us collectively work for a better neighbourhood. Looking forward to your constant support for the same.

5th Oct 2013 - Replacement of 450 mm diameter Rising Main Sewer line at Jaibharat Pumping station.

7th Oct 2013 - New Interlocking Paver blocks installation and Drain-age outlet work at various locations around Danda - Paver work: Koteshwar Vyam shala, Madhlapada, Vetalpada - Drainage outlet - Ramwadi, Adarshband area outlet.

8th Oct 2013 - Construction of Box drainage, passage and drainage work carried out at Thanekar house, Gojur Lane, Buga Galli, Nat-ke Chawl, Chowkute Chawl.

9th Oct 2013 - Cement concrete passage work and drainage outlet work at Siddhivinayak Chawl, Sainath Seva Sangh, Hanuman Seva Sangh, Ramji Gupta Chawl.

13th Oct 2013 - Meeting for Proposed improvement of Area around steps connecting Turtollium Road & Mount Mary Road

14th Oct 2013 - Inauguration of Improvement work of St. Domnic Road, St . Martin Road, Dr. Raghunath Road, 34th Road, 5th Road & 3rd Road Khar.

24th Oct 2013 - Inauguration of Shahabad stone installment, Cement Concrete and drainage outlet work carried out at Qureshi Nagar, Maharashtra Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Dargah Galli & Chawl No. 3, 4, 5.

25th Oct 2013 - Inauguration of Road Improvement work, Ce-ment Concrete and drainage outlet work carried out at Haji Mohd Noora lane, Rajiv Nagar and Nargis Dutt Nagar.

26th Oct 2013 - Inauguration of Shahabad stone installment at Dayabhai Chawl and Bazaar Road. As well as, improvement of Cement Concrete and Drainage outlet work at Bazaar Cross Road, Transit Camp Reclamation, A.K Vaidya Marg, Chapel Road and 2 adjacent bylanes.

Finally, The Linkup of the entire Union Park area also funded and initiated by the MLA fund of Baba Siddique commenced on 16th October 2013, with the support of The Union Park Residents’ Association (UPRA).Similarly sanctions have been approved for Dr. Peter Dias Road, Rebello Road, St. Sabastian Road, Mount Carmel Road, St. John the Baptist Road, Mount Mary Road, Kane Road, B. J. Road, Bandstand, Bazaar Road, Chapel Road Area and the inaugurations for the same will be held soon.

Inauguration of the CCTV Camera link up of St. Paul’s Road, St. Francis Road, D’monte Park Road, St. Dominic’s Road, St. Andrew’s Road, St. Leo’s Road, St. Cyril’s Road, St. Anthony’s Road up to Manual Gonsalves Road was held on 12th October 2013, Saturday, 5pm onwards at Bandra Gym-khana, St. Andrew’s Road, Bandra West.

This project has been initiated, facilitated and funded by the MLA fund of Baba Siddique in the interest of public safety of the citizens. This project has been supported by Ms. Priya Dutt - MP who was also present at the event along with, Additional Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Western Sub-urbs Mr. Vishwas Nangre Patil.

The project was made possible through the valuable cooper-ation of the Salsette Catholic Cooperative Housing Society and the following residents Association: St. Paul’s Road Res-idents’ Association, St. Andrew’s Road Residents’ Associ-ation, St. Dominic Road & Manuel Gonsalves Road Res-idents’ Association, St. Cyril Road Residents’ Association, St. Leo Road Residents’ Association, D’Montee Park Road Residents’ Association.

The vision is to ensure that the entire Bandra Assembly ( H/West Ward ) i.e Bandra, Khar & Santacruz (W) be brought under CCTV camera surveillance.

On the 13th of October 2013, the linkup of the entire Rizvi Complex & Sherly Rajan road area commenced.This project was made possible through the efforts of Rizvi Complex Residents Association, Rajan ALM, Sherly St. Anne’s Road ALM & Malla ALM

SUPPORTING THE BMC IN ITS FIGHT AGAINST DENGUE!

On Sunday, 20th October at 11:30 am, the Dengue and Malaria prevention drive was inaugurated at Durel-lo Convent School Grounds, 24th Road, Bandra West.

This public service campaign was conceived, ini-tiated and facilitated by Baba Siddique MLA.

The Dengue/Malaria awareness Van was flagged off by Mr. Leander Paes & Mr. Varun Dhawan.

Among the other eminent guests that were also present, was Mrs. Manisha Patankar - Mhaiskar, Additional Mu-nicipal Commissioner, Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

A projector, screen, laptop & TV were donated to the BMC to be used to create awareness programmes. A special in-formation literature was printed and distributed to around 60,000 students of various schools in the Assembly to sen-sitise & create Awareness towards Dengue & Malaria.

HELPING SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT THE COCHLEAR IMPLANT PROGRAMME AT HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL

Baba Siddique was at Holy Family Hospital Bandra on 11th Oct 2013, to Support the Cochlear Implant program, on it’s 2nd Anniversary at Holy Family Hos-pital.

The objective of this event was to help spread aware-ness about the availability of this treatment at Holy Family Hospital Bandra.

Mr Salman Khan being a true Bandra Boy and a pa-tron of Holy Family Hospital also graced the occasion with his presence. Dr. Christopher D’souza , ENT specialist at Holy Family Hospital spoke in detail about the programme & its ground breaking benefits.

Baba Siddique supported the Free Medical Camp at Pyari Nagar, Danda on Sunday 20th Oct 2013 arranged by the Sant Shiromani Rohidas Trust. It’s essential that camps like these are held and supported so that more people become aware of different ailments that can af-fect them and about the avail-ability of treatments for the same.

RENAL DIALYSIS CENTRE5TH OCT 2013

Inauguration of civil work of Proposed Renal Dialysis Cen-tre at Bandra West (5th October 2013)

A first of its kind in Bandra, the BMC Renal Dialysis Cen-tre is being set up at Bandra (West) at the BMC Amenities Centre at Allied Coop Hsg. Society at Junction of St. John’s Road and St. Andrew’s Road, opp. Learners Academy School, Bandra (West) in Ward No.96.

The proposed Renal Dialysis Centre is being set up with the collective efforts & initiatives of Priya Dutt MP and Baba Siddique MLA as well as the Salsette Catholic Coop. Hsg. Society.

This project was made possible through the constant and regular follow ups of Priya Dutt MP and Baba Siddique

MLA with the Municipal Commissioner and Additional Municipal Commissioner and other BMC officials.

Baba Siddique MLA inaugurated the Commencement of the Civil work of the proposed Renal Dialysis Centre along-with the Local Municipal Councilor , Managing Committee Members of theSalsette Catholic Coop. Hsg. Society, BMC officials and other local residents.

The proposed Renal Dialysis Centre is proposed to com-mence by January 2014

Bandra West Football Association League1st Sept 2013

Baba Siddique was at the Leena Mogre Gym promoting the famous Binge sessions. ‘Binge Session’ is a concept that em-phasizes on working out to live music as a high intensity cardio workout. The concept was inaugurated on October 3rd 2013 other known faces present were: Shibani Kashyap, Duncun Rufus, Leena Mogre, Shama Sikander, Alex, Nisha Harare, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Sandhya Shetty, Babita Malkani and many more.
