The Seventh New York International Chess Tournament will take place from June

    18-22, 2014.

Since its premiere in 2008, the event has grown every year in size and strength and

is an excellent opportunity for both established Grandmasters (the $12,500 prize

fund in the Championship section is unconditionally guaranteed) and younger

players who seek to obtain IM and GM norms. Last year, players from 19 different

federations, including 27 Grandmasters and International Masters, took part,

ensuring norm possibilities independent of pairings with foreign players. Two GM

norm and three IM norms were awarded!

We again expect FIDE titled players from all over the world to compete, ensuring

that the 7th NY International will be again a “Super Swiss”, one of only a handful

held in the U.S. each year.

The New York International is organized by the historic Marshall Chess Club and

will take place at a luxurious private club in Midtown Manhattan under impeccable

    playing conditions.
