FUNDRAISING FOR SCHOOLCHICKENS
As I wrote before the holiday, Class5 are very keen to raise some money
to purchase a few chickens to go inour chicken area. They have come up
with lots of fun ideas of how toraise the money and have asked if
they can advertise this in thenewsletter:
Please also check the Chicken Blogwhich is available for all children
from their own pagethere areregular updates being typed in by
the children.
ABSENCE REPORTING
Please call the School Office, ifyour child will not be in school. We
are still having some texts sent tous to let us know. This means of
communication for child absencedoes not fulfill our safeguarding
duties.
PARENTS USING CARS AND HELPING
ON VISITS
We are very grateful for the offer
of your help on visits and with theuse of your car to help us keep the
cost of visits to a minimum. If youare a regular helper in school, the
governors require me to ask that
you undertake a CRB assessmentwhich makes police/court checks toensure that adults are safe to work
with children. In addition, if you

MORNING PLAY
I would be grateful if you couldhelp me by reminding the children
that they should not be playingfootball etc at the beginning of the
school day. In the past, we havehad accidents and near-misses
where footballs have hit waitingparents and younger children in
buggies. Can I remind you that the
children remain your responsibility
until the school day begins. Pleasenote that children will need fullsupervision if they are using the
play equipment and that this is alsoyour responsibility before and
after school.
SAINSBURYS VOUCHERS
We are very grateful for all the
Sainsburys vouchers that havealready come in last year we were
able to get a lot of play equipmentwhich the children have enjoyed
playing. The collection box is nearthe school office. Thank you.
BIKE IT EVENTS
I hope you have had chance to readmy email which I sent earlier this
week regarding the Bike ItBreakfast. This will take place
next Wednesday morning, with a
FREE breakfast for all those who
wish to participate available in theschool hall from 8.30am. I will beriding my bike from Mouldsworth
Train Station, leaving at around8.15am: any children and parents
would be welcome tojoin me. We will
cycle along thepavement to
school.
Dont forget
we have FREEhigh-viz
waistcoats for thechildren available from the
school officeplease just ask!
Later in the year, we have planned asession for Reception and Year 1 to
Ditch the Stabilizers and a cycleride after school in Delamere
Forest. More details to follow!
PTFA EVENTS
Many thanks for all those who
participated and helped with theValentine Disco it was anotherexcellent and well-attended event.
The next PTFA event is the verypopular Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday
25th March starting at school at2.00pm. There is a PTFA meeting on
Monday 4th March at NicoleWrights house from 8.00pm. All
parents, staff and friends of theschool are welcome to come along to
find out what they can do tosupport the school. Please contactthe school office for Nicoles
address, or phone/text her on07976 905946.
Next Wednesday and
Thursday, Class 5 are hostinga chicken fundraiser. Please
send your child in with some
money to spend. There will be
food, drinks, a chocolate
fountain and bracelets. Also,
if your car needs a scrub
come to the car wash!
