Parking and Traffic OutsideSchoolNow that the weather seems tobe improving, I hope that manychildren and parents will be ableto walk, cycle or scooter toschool. This is not only a greatway to start the day, but it willalso help to alleviate some ofthe traffic problems we continueto endure at our very busytimes. I have had a report of atleast one near miss with parentsparking without apparentconcern for safety. I again urgeall parents and children to takesome responsibility for their

safety and the safety of otherroad users at the beginning andend of the school day. I haveasked the police to assist withthis and they have said they willcall by randomly in the week tocheck that safe parkingpractices are observed. Thechurch, WI and Village Hall carparks are always available forour use. Thank you.
