MusicRow  Spotlight  Jerry  McKenna/Director  of  Programming/WKPE/Cape  Cod,  Mass.  "How  long  have  you  been  at  the  station?  Since  December  2013  "How  many  "hats"  do  you  wear  each  day?  I  wear  many  hats  since  I  oversee  a  cluster  of  four  stations;  Cape  Country  104,  WKPE  as  well  as  Hot  AC,  WQRC,  AC,  WOCN  &  Classical  WFCC.  "Why  is  it  important  to  report  to  MusicRow?  It  allows  me  to  be  aware  of  all  the  releases  available  for  airplay.  Secondly,  I  can  now  see  if  there  are  projects  developing  in  smaller  markets  like  my  own  and  thirdly,  it  allows  us  to  have  working  relationships  with  labels,  management  and  promoters.  "Tell  us  something  great  about  your  city  and/or  station.  (Feel  free  to  brag!)  We  are  the  Cape  Cod’s  only  country  station!  For  those  not  familiar  with  Cape  Cod,  it  is  a  major  tourist  destination.    Our  population  swells  from  May  through  October  making  us  comparable  to  a  major  market  station  half  the  year.    "Name  some  new  artists  that  really  get  you  excited!  I’m  a  big  fan  of  Thomas  Rhett  and  Sam  Hunt.  Of  the  newer  artists,  I  also  like  Kelsea  Ballerini.  "

NO.  1  SONG  "It’s  hard  to  believe  Carrie  Underwood  released  a  greatest  hits  album,  just  10  years  since  she  took  the  stage  on  American  Idol.  Perhaps  that  makes  it  easier  to  believe  the  two  new  singles  on  the  album  are  holding  their  own.    "The  second  new  single  hits  this  week’s  No.  1  spot,  titled  “Little  Toy  Guns.”  The  Birst  single  released  was  “Something  In  The  Water”  and  it  hit  the  top  of  the  MusicRow  chart  on  Nov.  26,  2014.    "Chris  DeStefano  is  a  proud  co-‐writer  of  both  of  these  hit  songs.  “Little  Toy  Guns”  also  includes  writing  credits  for  Underwood  and  Hillary  Lindsey.    "The  emotional  video  stars  Grace  Rundhaug,  who  starred  alongside  Underwood  in  The  Sound  of  Music-‐Live!  television  special.  "Underwood  is  busy  being  a  new  mom,  but  she  still  managed  to  lead  all  nominees  in  next  month’s  CMT  Music  Awards  with  Bive  nods.  She  will  hit  the  road  for  only  a  few  dates  this  summer,  starting  with  an  appearance  at  The  Grand  Ole  Opry  on  June  9  to  kick  off  the  CMA  Music  Festival.  "
