DONATIONS OF TISSUES

Due to the very large number of

Tissues that have been used so far

this year, we are asking parents /

caregivers if they could donate a

box of tissues to the school. Thank

to all those parent who have

already donated.

On Friday, 11th August, the Junior and Senior public speaking teams from our school

headed to Burke Ward Public School for the next stage of the competition. The girls had

to present their written speech to a large audience. They were then taken into a room,

given a topic and had to write a speech on an impromptu topic to present. The girls were

all fantastic and presented all speeches beautifully. I would like to applaud them on their

hard work, dedication and confidence. Well done Emerson Chesterfield, Ruby Martin,

Briana Ralph and Edren Burrows.

Next week, Central will be celebrating Father's Day with our annual Father's Day Stall on Thursday, 24

th August, and Father's Day Breakfast on Friday, 25

th August. The stall this year has

some great new gifts for kids to buy for Dad, Grandad or anyone who is 'Dad'!

The Father's Day Breakfast, which will be at 8.00am, is always a great occasion to see our school community come together to celebrate. There will also be a special performance on the morning. So make sure you lock these dates into the diary for next week!

Last week we held our school finals for the Premier's Spelling Bee. All competitors did an

amazing job and it was a really close race. The results are as follows:

Senior Champion Charlize Cattermole

Senior Runner-Up Emerson Chesterfield

Junior Champion Alexandra Hardy

Junior Runner-Up Edren Burrows

Alexandra and Charlize will represent the school at

the Regional Finals to be held on Friday, 15th

tomorrow at 2.00pm to promote awareness

of kidney disease and to raise funds for

Kidney Kids and Young Adult programs.

Students are encouraged to bring a gold
