  • ADOscore: Domain Knowledge The BOC Strategy and Performance Management Framework

    Based on our understanding of the BSC method as the underlying method of ADOscore, there is an inherent connection between Strategy and Performance Management. ADOscore supports the methods and procedure models of these approaches and therefore fosters the implementation of Balanced Scorecards, Corporate Performance Management and additional scenarios of Corporate Management. The main focus of both approaches lies in the combination of goals, key performance indicators and initiatives. This trio are the core elements of ADOscore and are used in Strategy and Performance Management.

    Flexible controlling systems can be built in line with the Balanced Scorecard method according to the strategic corporate goals, or in the context of Performance Management, with measurement systems that can be freely defined. To integrate continuous improvement management each initiative is assigned to a defined goal.     Strategy AssessmentKnowing ones weaknesses, capital ising on ones strengths, taking chances and minimising the associated risks is the basis for Strategic Assessment. This includes the em-bodiment of central controlling dash-boards with continuous data updates leading to automated reporting. This provides valuable documentation to support decision making by the people responsible for the delivery of the IT initiatives.

    Business Scorecarding &Corporate Performance ManagementSales controlling, corporate gover-nance, benchmarking – to control these approaches individually and in a combined manner, the focus has to lie with different reporting views and media.   • ADOscore is the Strategy and Performance Management tool of the BOC Management Office and can be used in a Standalone or Client/Server environment. The data is stored in relational databases, with external data read in via multiple possible interfaces (i.e. Microsoft Excel, SQL, CSV, XML interfaces). The ADOscore Interaction Board provides online access to Strategy and Performance Management data and user specific menus and working environments. All the reporting functionality as well as the controlling dashboards of the management portals is web based and can be accessed remotely. ADOscore is based on a powerful meta-modelling concept and can be flexibly extended and customised in terms of modelling method, analysis, dashboard and report generation.
