Every SPARC T4 server offers 100% Oracle SPARC/Solaris binary compatibility, so you can run Solaris 8 and Solaris-9 based applications completely unchanged on SPARC T4 servers – and migrate them easily too.

And if you’re using SPARC T4’s built-in virtualization capabilities to consolidate multiple applications on to one machine, you’ll find you can implement Solaris 8, Solaris 9 and Solaris containers to run any version of Solaris you need on the same machine.
