Metering pump for small dosing ingeneral industrial applicationsThe 2RB 10 small dosing pumpfrom Viscotec is self-priming andoffers performance up to amaximum of 200 l/h of flow and12 bar of pressure. The meteringpump can be utilised to dose ingeneral industrial applications,in the food and drink industry, orin other more specialist sectorssuch as the chemical orcosmetics industry.

With an accuracy of +/- 1%, the2RB 10 pump can beconstructed from a number ofdifferent materials, dependingupon end user requirements.Options include hastelloy,teflon, and stainless steel. Anyparts that come into contactwith product are made of high-grade stainless steel. For thestator EPDM, Viton, Chemrez

and other materials areavailable. Temperatureresistance up to 200 °C can bespecified if so desired.

According to the manufacturer,the volumetric pump isparticularly suitable for thegentle dosing and conveying ofliquids with various viscosities upto the consistency of pasty stickymedia. The rotational directionis reversible and the flow rate isproportional to the speed,which can go up to 1000rpm.The recommended drive poweris 0.12 kW to 0.37 kW. Variousdrive systems can be selected tomeet the dosing needs ofdifferent end users. At the basiclevel, a variable speed drive withmanual variator can bespecified, a VFD option (variable

frequency drive) is available, andfor shot dosing or continuousoperation there is programcontrolled quantity regulation,which utilises a number ofelectronic aids.

The pump can be drivenhorizontally or vertically,increasing the flexibility of the

connection options. Shaftsealing is achieved with a singlemechanical seal with rubberbellows and ceramic/carbon sealfaces. Also available is PTFEimpregnated packing anddouble mechanical seals withbarrier fluid or quenchconnections for more arduousduties.

The new Grindex Tubo is anelectrical submersible drainagepump designed for restrictedaccess situations and deep welldewatering applications. Thepump can handle solids insuspension up to 8 mm in

diameter and liquid temperaturesup to 40º C. The motor has arated output of 3.0 kW, 3-phase400 V as standard.

To ensure robust performance indemanding conditions the

pump comes with doublemechanical shaft seals with anoil compartment between theseals to prevent the ingress ofwater. The design alsoincorporates a cast iron impellerand nitrile rubber diffusers,which should be able toeffectively resist wear and tear indemanding environments. Inaddition, there are also thermo-guards in the stator winding.

In normal applications, the Tubohas a maximum head of 19 m. AHigh Pressure version is alsoavailable, however, whichenhances the maximum heightto over 35 m. This high headcapability, combined with amaximum submersion depth of20 m and a diameter of just 185mm, makes the Tubo highpressure pump ideal for use indeep well dewateringapplications, in sandy ground orin other similarly arduous duties.The discharge connection is ontop of the pump with the optionof either BSP or NPT threadedconnections.

Domestic water pump

Stuart Turner Ltd has introduceda new range of Monsoondomestic water pumps rated at2 bar of pressure, replacing thepreviously available 1.5 barpump units.

The increase in pressure andflow rate capabilities will ensurethat the pump can meet higherduties on domestic watersystems, such as boostingshowers and other bathroomappliances. The unit is suitablefor office, residential, and lightcommercial installations. Theupgraded pump should now beable to handle more demandingapplications claim themanufacturers and servemultiple water points.

Offered in single and twin headform, the end user can specifycontrol options for eitherpositive or negative headlocations.
