Britta was born and raised in Sweden before coming to the US as an adventurous traveler in her early 20’s. She runs Bonette Design Studio, focusing on creating lots of original and beautiful pattern designs for textiles and other surfaces.

" I was sitting working in my studio during the snow blizzard last winter. While the ruthless cold winter wind would whip the pine trees into submission and the dark blue night would cover all that was warm and bright, I was still warm inside my room, think[ing] about the woodland animals taking shelter near each other. [It} made me think of the long, cold and dark winters of my childhood back in Sweden, when I would walk home from school, try[ing] to eat the snowflakes falling on my face from a dark eternal space, like ice cold stars. I knew when I came home I'd be warm and safe, just like those woodland foxes, deer and rabbits!"
