EasySeal could replace in the future all conventional waterproofing methods

used in civil engineering, such as bituminous materials, coatings and all kinds

of synthetic foils.

The combination of EasySeal and synthetic foils (PVC, TPO, HDPE, EPDM a.s.o.)

is the solution for a high waterproofing quality.

EasySeal in combination with a regular membrane will be the

innovative sealing technology of the near future.

The self healing properties of the swelling, hydrophilic polyacrylates secure

the integrity of the system in cases where the regular membrane is damaged

during installation. Penetrating water causes the polyacrylates to swell and

makes the whole system impermeable. The building structure is permanently

protected against penetrating water, even small cracks and voids in the

concrete are sealed.

Place SilverSeal® over the properly prepared

concrete bedding / blinding concrete bed with

the white side facing the structural concrete to be

waterproofed!

Overlap all adjoining edges a minimum of 50mm and

glue the overlaps tight together with CEM 805

bonding agent.

The silver shining PE-membrane is the first water barrier.

SilverSeal® has to be placed with the open side facing the

structural/construction concrete!

The white side of SilverSeal® is hydrophilic and swells into

concrete cracks when water appears and avoids any water

circulation between SilverSeal® and the concrete structure!

- Natural soil

SilverSeal® Installation Guidelines

SilverSeal® can be applied to backfilled walls in two ways:

Mechanically fastening to cast concrete just prior to

backfilling (post-applied), or secondly (a not preferred

alternative), by utilizing the adhesion properties of the

alternative), by utilizing the adhesion properties of the

SilverSeal® (preapplied).

Fix SilverSeal® by using approx. 1 up to 2 shot-fired

‘softwasher’ per square meter vertical wall.

SilverSeal® has to be installed always with the

open side (white side) facing to the concrete

which has to be sealed!

Page 12: New innovative waterproofing_presentation

SilverSeal® is very easy to install, though the following instructions need to be considered:

Horizontal overlappings can easily be

secured with CEM 805 adhesive. Vertical

overlappings have to be glued with CEM

805 adhesive.

Overlappings should at least be 5 - 10 cm

and need to be mechanically fixed.

The contact pressure should not be less than

150 kg/m².

SilverSeal has to be installed with the open

(white) side facing to the concrete which

has to be sealed. The closed side (covered

with silver PE foil) faces the water side.

SilverSeal can be mechanical fixing onto

the structural concrete by applying the

recommended fastener - SilverSeal can

be nailed through. The emerging holes

seal itself automatically +

reliable/waterproof

SilverSeal swelling non-woven can be

inserted into the formwork/mold. Due to

the interconnection to

the fresh concrete SilverSeal adheres to

the wall.

When penetrations through SilverSeal are

necessary it should be left open and leak

proof sealed with CEM 805 /

CEM 805 “active“.

Heads of bore piles must permanently be

sealed with crystalline CEMdicht 3 in 1.
