Fused pyridine derivativesR 0450 New Indolizine Templates from the Ugi Reaction. — A combination of Ugi reaction

and [3 + 2] cycloaddition under Sonogashira conditions provides an efficient access to-wards pyrrolo-fused indolizines (VIII), (XI) or (XIV).
