“Over what period will Benefits be delivered?”
Community benefits will not be a temporary initiative; they will be embedded in national and local Government procurement strategies for decades to come. In terms of the New Campus NPD Project, there are extensive commitments identified in the College’s Requirements and made by GLQ, the bulk of which will be honoured during the 3-year construction phase. However, the 25-year FM period also has a continuation of benefits through
employment and graduate opportunities. Academic benefits will also continue through supported learning and placement experiences for students.
“Can I get involved?”
Yes. A Community Benefits Working Group is being established which will contain key staff from the College and GLQ. Tasked with the aim of ensuring expectations are exceeded, the group will have representatives from each School.
