    Brighton Graduates First Physician in itsNationally Leading Addiction FellowshipProgram

    In June 2006, Brighton Hospital demonstratedits position as a national leader in theclinical education of chemical dependencyspecialists by launching its fellowshipprogram in addiction medicine.

    The fellowship program provides one or twoyears of experiential learning at BrightonHospital and through the St. John HealthSystem. Dr. Nalini Velayudhan, the firstfellow at Brighton Hospital, began the

    nationally recognized fellowship program under the directionof Dr. John Hopper. The Addiction Fellowship Program isopen to physicians who hold an unrestricted license to practicemedicine in the state of Michigan and are board certified in aspecialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

    Summer Tune-Up Under The Big TopSat., Aug. 9th, 2008 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Brighton Hospital grounds. The bandLatitude comprised of Pete Perez and Al Sutterfield will perform at the Tune-Up event.Between them they have over 40 continuous years of recovery from drugs and alcohol.
