“NEPCON Thailand 2013” is the 13th edition of ASEAN’s technology and innovation show to support the growth of electronics manufacturing industry through the presentation of assembly technology, inspection, quality control and more from 350 brands from 20 countries around the world.

To be co-hosted with the event is “ASEAN Electronics Manufacturing Forum” and Thailand’s first “IPC Hand Soldering Championship” to provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs in electronics industry to expand their business network and source for the machinery they need as well as discovering the perfect business partners. This will ultimately strengthen the electronics manufacturing community and related supporting industries in Thailand and ASEAN.

In March, the organizer of NEPCON Thailand had organized a knock door visit campaign to factories in the Northern Region Industrial Estate to invite manufacturers in the electronics production lines to visit the show in June. The campaign was well received with overwhelming interest.

Do you or someone you know have what it takes to win at hand soldering? The time to shine is at the IPC Hand Soldering Championship which is jointly organized by IPC—Association Connecting Electronics Industries and Reed Tradex Co., Ltd. For the first time in Thailand at NEPCON Thailand 2013!

Over three days, participants will compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a half-hour time limit. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610E Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges.

Prizes: Cash awards will be given to the winner and two runner-ups with the winner getting the chance to compete at the IPC World Championship in the USA the following year!!!
