1. Call and sign in to Connection, and follow the prompts to listen to and manage your messages.

HOW TO SET UP A GREETING HOW TO CHECK MESSAGES

1. Pick up the receiver and press the voicemail button.

2. Enter the ID (2 + last four digits of your extension) AND temporary PIN (25802) when asked, and follow the pre-recorded prompts.

3. Record your name.

4. Record a greeting that outside callers hear when you do not answer.

5. Change your PIN.

6. Choose whether to be listed in the directory. (When you are listed in the directory, callers who don’t know your extension can reach you by spelling or saying your name.)

*Please note: You can re-record your name and greeting or change your PIN and directory listing status at any time after this initial enrollment.

Just follow the pre-recorded prompts to set up your phone for the first time. You’ll complete each of the following tasks:

3. Play New Messages or Review Old Messages for your Connection mailbox.

4. Play External Messages for messages in your email application.

For local calls outside the campus, dial 9 followed by the 10-digit phone number.

For long-distance within the U.S. and most parts of Canada, dial 91 followed by the 10-digit phone number.

To reach WVU Morgantown campus numbers, dial 91 followed by the 10-digit phone number.

*Please note: International Calling is currently disabled. If you need to dial an international number, contact the main ITS Service Desk for assistance at 304-293-4444.

To reach another phone on the Beckley campus that begins with 304-929, dial 2 followed by the last four digits of the number. For example, to reach 304-929-8324, dial 2-8324.

3. Press 1 to Change Greeting.

4. Press 1 to Record Current Greeting follow prompts to record greeting

5. Press the # key to finish.
