3)A Triangular collision bulkhead is 15m broad at the top and 12m deep. The fore peak tank contains ballast of RD 1.015.Calculate the thrust on bulkhead and position of COP below the top of the bulkhead when thesounding in tank is a)12m b)14m

4) Sketch, label and describe the midship section of a Gas carrier. Also describe its constructional details.

Part B (All questions of 25 marks each)

5) Describe in detail how you would conduct an inclining experiment. When and why is it Conducted?

6) Describe with the help of a neat diagram the following tests:a) Tensile test b) Bend Test c) A-60 Class division.

7) Which parts of the ship counteract sagging, hogging, racking and grounding stresses?

8) Q) With the help of Suitable sketch explain the following:-a) Sheer plan b) Half Breadth plan C) Body plan.
