One state / one story: Frankenstein Its ALIVE! Mary Shelley's classic novel Frankenstein turns 200 in 2018. To celebrate, NPL will be part of the statewide One State / One Story: Frankenstein program. Join us all month long for programs, book discussions, and Frankenstein fun for all ages! “Frankenstein is a powerful book that raises big questions about right and wrong, how we treat other people and the relationship between science and society,” said Keira Amstutz, president and CEO of Indiana Humanities. Learn about the businesses that blazed the trail in Nappanee and the ones that are still around today. This walking tour is made possible through a Historic Preservation Education grant from Indiana Landmarks, Indiana Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. AUGMENTED REALITY SANDBOXNovember 1 - November 21

All Ages

NPL will have an augmented reality sandbox is our upper

level gallery this November. This tool combines 3D visualization

applications with a hands-on sandbox exhibit. You

can create topography models by shaping real sand, which is then

augmented in real time by an elevation color map, topographic contour lines and simulated water.
