Dear Parents/Guardians,

What a perfect day to start our holidays…a beautiful snowfall, breakfast at

school, so many families joining us throughout the day, and staff and students

in pyjamas! I can’t believe how quickly time flew! In just four months we have

come together as a community, have seen new clubs flourish, teams and tour-

naments, music and dance, authors, student voice, active committee involve-

ment and so much more. Although we are saying goodbye to 2017, I am ex-

cited at what 2018 will bring! We have already purchased much needed re-

sources for our children in terms of literacy and technology (thanks to the help

of your generous contributions) and are having a school-wide focus on the im-

portance of a growth mindset, particularly as it relates to the learning of Math-

ematics. Please reserve the evening of January 23rd from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., as

we will be hosting a Parent Session on Growth versus Fixed Mindset and how

you can help your child believe and reach to the highest level in Math.

I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to staff, Home and

School, and parents for their partnership this year. This is what makes all the

difference in supporting our students! Wishing everyone a very happy and
