What is a robot? •The word robot comes from a Czech word “ robota” with means forced work.

•A robot is any machine that moves and performs a task without any human help by sensing and acting on information.

•A robots basic abilities are 1. movement 2. senses 3. artificial intelligence.

•Robots go any where people cannot fit or if it is too dangerous for humans.

•Scientist disagree whether an intelligent robot can be built.

•Most are meant to replace human work.

•Today robots are encountered through our daily lives.

The future of robots

•Nano technology in the medical field is expanding rapidly.

•Perhaps by 2030 robots will be smarter then humans as experts have predicted.

•Some experts believe by 2035 that robots will be able to cook and clean your house.

•The Robo Cup Project expects to beat the human team for the world soccer championship by 2050.

•More then 3,000 people are working in different countries towards the Robo Cup project.

The real challenge

The robot evolution is presenting challenges not only in inventing the robots, but also to spread the wealth of a robotic workforce evenly; while discovering new jobs for humans.
