Life Along the Mississippi Unit PlanTECHNOLOGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES??

Workshop Objectives

1. Create lessons that infuse technology - to be used in classrooms supporting one/multiple computers or in computer lab.

2. Broaden student understanding of the unit information utilizing available technology resources. 3. Engage students awareness of 21st century skills and technology while learning about natural

resources. Unit Objectives:

1. Students develop an understanding of the importance of water. 2. Students develop an understanding of appropriate use of 21st century skills and technology. 3. Students create projects to inform others about water conservation and the Mississippi River using

21st century skills and technology. 4. Students will learn about the history of the Mississippi River and its importance to agricultural

economics/ water conservation.

Standards Addressed: NRS.01.01.01.c Research and debate one or more current issues related to the conservation or

preservation of natural resources. o Math: 5a o Science: C4 and F3 o Social Studies: 3h and 3k

NRS.02.06.02.b Relate the function of a water shed to natural resources. o Science: D2 and F3 o Social Studies: 3B, 3H, 3F
