The TD80™ uses Guided Wave Radar toproduce a highly accurate measurement ofliquid-level in a mobile tank: a high-speedelectrical pulse is launched down the probe,reflects off the surface of the liquid, andtravels back up the probe to the transmitter.The total flight time of the pulse is measuredand used to calculate the liquid level orvolume.
New products are available that addincreased versatility. The Finch II* display isdesigned for simple installation andoperation. Its single-board configuration andbuilt-in relays streamline the installationprocess, removing the need for additionalparts. New features, such as auto-compartment select on alarms, make theFinch II easy to use.
The Rack Control Module* is an optionalaccessory that allows a mobile tank with aTD80™ system to load at optic or thermistorloading racks.
Components used in the TD80™ system aredesigned to thrive in even the harshestconditions. The transmitter enclosure isexplosion proof and made from anodizedaluminum. The display is weatherproof(NEMA 4), and the stainless steel proberesists corrosion in a wide range of liquids.
