The Scrutinies for RCIAOn the Third, Fourth and Fifth Sundays of Lent, the Church celebrates the Scrutinies with the Elect, those preparing for the Easter Sacraments. Held during the time of intense purification and selfexamination, the Scrutinies are meant to uncover and then heal all that is defective, weak or sinful in the hearts of the elect. They are celebrated to deliver the elect from the power of Satan and sin, to protect them from all temptation and to strengthen their resolve to follow Christ. Please continue to pray for Elaina, Jayden and Olivia during these final weeks of Lent.Catholic QuizIn honor of the 5th anniversary of the election of Pope Francis, try this quiz.1.
