MYCOLOGICAL FORAY AT MALLORCA

Mallorca & Cabrera Islands
A mycological week in November 2015 (6-9 days to be selected
between 9 and 29 of November) for 25-30 people.
Foraying in selected localities of Mallorca and Cabrera islands.
Field trips during the morning. Studying the material collected along the afternoon or selecting the
tourist offer of the day. Before dinner, comments on the material collected during the day. Possibilities of some naturalistic talking (Mallorca birdwatchers,
botanists, etc.)
Visiting 3-4 Natural Parks and 2 Natural reserves.
Travel by bus, walking on flat areas, 1-2 localities each morning.

The field work will be conducted in National Parks and Natural Parks of Mallorca and Cabrera islands and selected areas of mycological interest.

Mallorca is a flat island with the shape of a horse head. It has
only one mountain ridge in the north (Serra de Tramuntana) and some minor elevations in the south.

Mallorca is a calcareous island, of dolomitic and marl stones.
The main annual temperature is 17ºC; 14.4 in November.
MYCOLOGICAL FORAY AT MALLORCA
The main vegetation of Mallorca is Quercus ilex woodlands, with spots of Pinus halepensis; Olea europea and Juniperus phoenicea.
