Minnie is Lost

Minnie is lost. She cannot find her parents. She sees some

cakes. She is hungry. She sees some juice. She is thirsty. A

policeman sees Minnie. The policeman helps Minnie find her

mum. Minnie’s mum is worried.

The policeman helps Minnie find her mum. The policeman

says, ‘Do not get lost again.’ Then Mum buys some cakes and

juice for Minnie. They are happy.

King Giant and Ben 

 

          King Giant lives in a castle.    He is hungry.    He asks 

Ben to go to his castle. 

 

          King Giant and Ben have lunch in the dining room.   

King Giant asks, 'Do you like these food?’ Ben says, ' I like 

cherries.’ 

 

          After lunch, Ben and King Giant go to the garden. Oh 

no! Ben, you must not pick the flowers. King Giant is very 

angry. Ben is afraid. He is running away. Ben says, 'Help!’ 

 

          At last, King Giant catches Ben. King Giant says, 'You 

must plant these flowers again.’

on that day. We play games in booths. We sing English songs with our

Reading Week is from the twenty-fifth of June to the twenty ninth of

June. We read different kinds of books, such as stories and poems. We

also share funny books with classmates.

Sports Camp is from the twelfth of December to the fifteenth of

December. On that day we can play ball games together. We can play

badminton, table tennis, football or basketball. We can run and skip. It

is fun.

Drawing Day is on the twenty-eighth of March. We can play drawing

games, learn drawing skills and draw pictures. We can see our

classmates’ pictures too.

Putonghua Day is on the first of May. We can learn Putonghua and play

Putonghua games. We can talk together. We can learn a lot of

Putonghua too.

My Best Friend

Vanea is my classmate. She is eight years old. She is cute and fit. Her eyes are beautiful. Her hair is very long. She sits on Chloe’s left.

I like Vanea because she is kind. She is sometimes naughty but she is helpful. She also talks to me and plays with me, If I am unhappy, she will listen to me.

Vanea’s favourite subject is Visual Arts. She is good at drawing. She likes drawing in her free time. She has drawing lesson every Sunday.

I am glad Vanea is my best friend. I hope we can be friend forever!

My Best Friend Alice is my classmate. She is nine years old. She is thin and strong. She is short. Her

hair is long. Her eyes are big. Her nose is small. Her mouth is small too. Her ears are big. She sits in front of me.

I like her because she is helpful. She is clever and smart. She is nice too. She plays with her friend in the playground. She talks with her friend at recess and lunchtime.

Alice’s favourite subject is PE. She is good at running. She plays basketball with her friend every week.

I like her because she is kind. She doesn’t play tricks on me. Sometimes she would teach me to do homework. I like her.

Tom’s Birthday

Yesterday was Tom’s birthday. They had a birthday party at

home. Tom’s dad said, ‘Happy Birthday, Tom!’ Then, he gave

Tom a toy robot.

Then Mum brought a cake into the dining room. Then, they

sang birthday song together.

Suddenly, Tom’s cat ‘Kitty’ jumped onto the hands of Tom’s

mum and the cake was dropped on the floor!

At last, Tom was sad. Tom’s parents cooked some beef

instead of cake. They ate the food together. Tom was very happy

Today was Tom’s birthday. Tom’s dad gave him a birthday

gift.

Tom’s mum bought a birthday cake for Tom. Tom was

happy.

The cat saw the cake, then, the cat jumped on Tom’s

birthday cake. ‘Oh no!’ Tom and Tom’s dad said.

Then the birthday cake was dropped on Tom’s birthday gift.

But Tom wasn’t sad because his dad and his mum stayed with

him.

Dad gave a robot to Tom.

Tom’s mum prepared a birthday cake. She bought some

chicken wings, potato chips and cola.

The cat jumped on the table. The birthday cake was dropped

on the floor.

Tom’s mum brought another birthday cake. Mum and Dad

said ‘Sorry!’ to Tom.
