"My Dream" by D. M. Larson I'll share my dream first. Would that help? My dream is to find love. I want to find that special love that makes you glow inside. Like lightening has struck your heart. I want the kind of love that when you are together, you feel like a shooting star, hurtling through space, falling through the sky and in to that person's arms... Safe and untouched by the darkness all around you. Protected and loved by that perfect person you can see yourself with forever. What is your dream? END OF MONOLOGUE "FIRST WORDS" Monologue from the Play "Flowers in the Desert" (45 seconds to 1 minute) I watch TV and see those happy families with the little baby who's takin' its first steps or saying its first word. Them folks make such a big deal out of those things. They laugh, they cry... all 'cause they love their little hairless baboon. (Pause. Grows sad) And I sit there all that time and wonder... who was there when I took my first step? Who was there when I said my first word? (Pause) I doubt if my first word was mama or papa. I'm sure it was four letters though. (She chuckles a little, then sighs) I don't care about them... And they don't care about me. But who really cares anyway. END

I'll share my dream first.

Dreaming of Dragons by D. M. Larson What do you dream about? I dream about dragons. All the time. I know they're not real but I want them to be. Sure, most girls dream of unicorns but I... I love dragons... And fire. I want to ride my dreams in to the night sky and fly over the moon. Dragons live in dreams. But what if we could make our dreams real? I could fly away from here and never come back. Leave a world of worries behind. Does that mean the nightmares would be real too? Maybe. It's not worth it then. My nightmares are pretty bad. I'll keep the dragons in my dreams. I don't need any more nightmares in my life. END

"Sunset Princess" by D. M. Larson I'm not going inside until I see the sunset. The sunset is the most beautiful part of my day. Sure, daddy buys me whatever I want. I have all the lovely dresses and jewelry a girl could ever wish for but there's something about a sunset, so magical and unexpected... it's never the same. I treasure that magical moment when the sun touches the sea and sets it on fire. To touch the sea... How I long to feel the ocean waves... To be free to sail your waters... I would give anything to leave this tower and see where the sun sleeps on the edge of the world. It must be an amazing place... More magical than any place on earth. A warm and loving place. Somewhere I can be free. END OF MONOLOGUE
