It’s unfortunate to hear of themany people losing their jobs, but in light of this misfortunemany folks are returning to the classroom and hitting thebooks to better themselves and then return to the jobmarket in a comeback fashion.

Serving in the military has its educational benefits, providing its service members with tuition assistance andthe Montgomery GI Bill. And, the great state of Texas hasblessed its citizens who are military veterans with the TexasHazelwood Act which exempts its former members of thearmed forces from 150 college credit hours! However, none of this would be possible for the students of TexasState Technical College without the assistance of SteveGuevara.

A former mechanized infantry soldier who served fouryears in the Army from the heartland of Texas at FortHood in Killeen to the outskirts of Germany, this manknows a thing or two about selfless service. As a veteranscertifying official he meets with up to 200 new militarystudents, spouses, and their dependents per semesterseeking his assistance to utilize these benefits.

Mr. Guevara is a humble man who takes great pride inhelping others. He is responsible for this task along with hisprimary duty as a system analyst to also advise otherstudents about financial aid opportunities. While workingfull time to guide veterans and college students, Mr.Guevara worked toward a college degree. This pastsemester he earned a bachelor’s degree in ComputerInformation System Technology from the University of Texasat Brownsville.

When retirement comes to the horizon for Mr. Guevara, his classic ride into the sunset will consist of sunny days onthe golf course and long nights on the water fishing for thebig catch.

Hello and welcome to the Internet Challenge

series! It is a place where I explain different

dares found on the Internet. These are usually

good as party games and such, and these were

tested via Internet experimentation.

Well, everybody, I have what some readers could interpret as

some bad news. This could be my last article of the series. I will

graduate in August so I plan to move on to bigger and better

things when I get a job. In expectation of this, I have reserved

the best challenge for last. I bring you the one Internet

challenge that has been deemed by many medical doctors as

IMPOSSIBLE. Alas, trying the impossible is what the Internet

does best because the process generally leads to hilarious or

interesting "fail" videos. But I digress.

This challenge is called: THE MILK GALLON CHALLENGE!

::thunder claps::

As part of a safety precaution, I must warn you that trying

this challenge is very, very stupid and may will lead to

unwanted vomiting. We at the Mustang Magazine are not

responsible for harmful or unpleasant outcomes. Scared yet? ;-)

The milk challenge is one that I am personally too afraid to

try. The challenge goes as such:

DDrriinnkk 11 ggaalllloonn ooff wwhhoollee mmiillkk ((NNOO,, YYOOUU CCAANNNNOOTT UUSSEE 22

PPEERRCCEENNTT..)) iinn oonnee hhoouurr.. IIff yyoouu ppuukkee wwiitthhiinn tthhee hhoouurr,, yyoouu aarree

ddiissqquuaalliiffiieedd..

That seems simple, but it’s never REALLY that simple. Why?

Answer: The human stomach does not have the capacity to

hold one gallon of a fluid or beverage. If a person consumed

one gallon of water, an individual would urinate most of the

liquid, but since WHOLE milk has a lot of fat and protein the

body can’t process the WHOLE milk fast enough for thorough

digestion and nutrition utilization. Most human stomachs

stretched to a certain point will trigger a vomit reflex and, thus,

the person will throw up whatever happens to be in the

stomach.

So mister/miss reader, DO YOU have what it takes to try

your luck at the milk challenge? ::thunder claps:: Whoa. Creepy.

Anyway, I hope you do. Again, "fail" videos are funny and

appreciated by viewers. Well, that’s it for me. GOODBYE!

In the course of the investigation, Spenser encounters Jumbo's bodyguard: a young, former football-playing Native American named Zebulon Sixkill. Sixkill acts tough, but Spenser sees something morewithin the young man. Despite the odd circumstances, the two forge an unlikely alliance, with Spenserserving as mentor for Sixkill.
