My definition of Beauty

• Beauty is not something only limited to appearance. I think deciding something as beautiful relies on the person’s experience or memory of it.

• Therefore I chose 10 vintage objects, which I thought are conveying a special memory of a person or a moment in the past.

60’s Brownie Hawkeye camera that takes multi-shots in vivid colors

-Has a black body with a big flash-Have to spin the button on the side to take a picture-Widely sold to fashion photographers-Photographers could take vivid pictures of fashion models

50’s Lantern Boy tin robot that has a lantern and a screw on both hands

-Tin emerald body, arms attached with screws-Lantern shines in the dark with the actual light bulb-Screwed hands are able to pop a bottle

Rosemary’s flower-quilted handkerchiefs in vivid colors

-Handmade handkerchiefs-Quilted colorful flowers on linen-Patterns are very feminine and delicate

Vintage Louis Vuitton suitcase that Michael Gingham has ripped name tags and logos

on the body

-One of Michael Gingham’s best early works-Stickered with vintage name tags and hotel logos -Resembles the designer as a busy traveller

-The thick brush looks like a toothbrush-Contains an instruction manual in the box

-A glamorous wall mirror-Represents Art Deco style in 1930s-Rare and expensive looking
