The Woods at Millikin is a privately-owned complex that partners with Millikin to house over 600 students in luxury apartment-style living. It offers the ultimate living experience for upperclass students. Apartments feature four private bedrooms, full kitchen with microwave, washer and dryer, private deck or patio, and modern furnishings. The Woods also offers a long list of community amenities, including a pool, fitness center, computer lab, and gated community.

We will close the residence halls during the summer. All residents must vacate no later than Friday, May 15 at 5pm or 24 hours after the resident’s last final exam, whichever is earlier.

Students needing summer housing should contact the Office of Residence Life no later than May 8. Summer housing in the halls is $18/day. The Woods at Millikin is offering great summer rental rates of $500 for the entire summer. This applies for current and future Woods residents. Contact The Woods at 217-464-8635, if interested.

If you are enrolled in an immersion course, part of an athletic team, or involved in other academic or co-curricular programs, and need to arrive to campus early in the Fall, please contact the Office of Residence Life to arrange your move-in.

Please contact your RA with any questions regarding your belongings. The University cannot be held responsible for the items left in buildings.

QUIET HOURSBeginning on Saturday, May 9, all residence halls will observe 24 hour quiet hours to support students as they study for final exams. Violation of 24 hour quiet hours will be met with a monetary fine and student conduct action. There will be a one hour non-quiet period each evening. Your RA will notify you of your hall’s non-quiet time.

MAIL SERVICEThe University Mailroom forwards all student mail to the home address listed in the campus directory. If an address change is necessary, you must contact Mail Services prior to leaving campus.
