I am looking for a volunteer that would be willing to plan the activity, work with the PTO for supplies, and then come into the classroom and lead the craft. I can assist you in the classroom. Please have your child complete the study guide to prepare for the test. I will collect the Study Guides on Thursday, they are not optional. Students will not be permitted to use homework passes towards the study guide. are you a member of the pto? The Lowes Island PTO is striving for 100% family membership. Looking for a Crafty Volunteer

The PTO auction will be held in March and they would like each class to come up with craft that

Read for 20 minutes each night

- Complete Reflex twice- Work on Dreambox for 20 min. - Geometry study guide due Thursday

What’s happening

this week Reading – We will finish DRA tests this week.

Math – The geometry test is on Thursday. The next unit will be probability.

Writing – We will continue making the brochures on Greece or Rome.

Word Study – New word sorts this week Friday. The next test will be Thursday, January 28th.

Social Studies - We will finish learning about ancient Mali and then we will compare all three civilizations. We also will complete a county mandated assessment.

- 2 word study activities due Friday

Futura Application ProcessDistrict Referrals - Students with qualifying test scores on the CogAT and/or NNAT will receive a district referral via US mail in mid-February. With parent permission (via a signed referral form returned to school SEARCH teacher), these students will be evaluated for gifted services.

Parent Referrals - Parents of students who did not receive a district referral letter, but who wish to have their children evaluated for gifted services, may submit a parent referral form to their child's SEARCH teacher from February 16 – March 4, 2016. Referral forms submitted after March 4, 2016will be processed next school year.
