Time 8.00 am - 1.00 pm MRB - MAI JOINT SEMINAR ON RUBBER APPLICATIONS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY Introduction The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) in collaboration with the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) will organise a half-day seminar on rubber applications in the automotive industry. The seminar will be a good platform to enhance understanding and awareness on applications of rubber in the automotive industry as well as services provided by MRB to support the automotive industry. In addition, a roadmap for rubber automotive parts and programmes established by MAI will be presented to participants. The seminar will also include a technical visit (optional) to the Rubber Technology Centre (RTC) of MRB to provide some insights into R&D and testing facilities available in MRB. Objectives 1. To enhance understanding and awareness on R&D programmes, testing and support services by MRB. 2. To enhance understanding of rubber automotive parts roadmap toward 2020 as established by MAI. 3. To propose a collaborative programme involving MRB, MAI and industry which can be developed into a new EPP under the NKEA on rubber, if appropriate. RUBBER APPLICATIONS INTHE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

IntroductionThe Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) in collaboration with the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) will organise a half-day seminar on rubber applications in the automotive industry.
