The Cleaning Basics-Hall 50(voorbeeld grote motor)

Before we review the cleaning instructions in detail, let’s review a few keypoints that should always be followed during the cleaning process.

Clean instruments within 30 minutes after use to minimize the potential forblood and debris drying.

A neutral pH detergent, less than pH of 10.5, should be used to preventcorrosion.

Never clean equipment with bleach, chlorine-based detergents, liquid or chemical disinfectants, or any products containing sodium hydroxide (suchas, INSTRU-KLENZ or Buell Cleaner). These products degrade theanodized aluminum coating and may result in reduced handpiece reliability.

Do not lubricate any handpieces or attachments (only if needed).

•Do not submerge attachments. Although Hall 50 handpieces are IPX6 & IPX8 rated, it is recommended not to submerge the handpieces in water.•All collets should be in the open position for cleaning and sterilization.•Batteries, attachments and cutting tools should be detached from thehandpieces prior to cleaning.

Now, let us begin the cleaning process……

•Hall 50 handpieces are suitable for use in washer/sanitizers.•Hall 50 handpieces have an ingress protection rating of IPX6 and IPX8 toensure the prevention of ingress of fluids during use and cleaning.

Under running tap water, remove all traces of blood and debris.Although Hall 50 handpieces are IPX6 & IPX8 rated, it is recommended notto submerge the handpieces in water.

Ensure all collet mechanisms are in the open position



•Load handpieces& attachments in the washer/sanitizer.•Use approved solutions for cleaning. It is recommended to use a neutralpH cleaner.

•Operate washer/sanitizer according to machine manufacturer’s instructions& specifications.•A dry cycle is recommended but not required.



If you do not use a dry cycle, then gently shake the equipment free of water and wipe the surfaces with a clean, lint-free towel.

Inspect device prior to sterilization.Functional checks should be performed where possible. Mating devicesshould be checked for proper assembly.


Sterilisatie

All equipment should be thoroughly cleaned prior tosterilization. Recommended sterilization exposure times witha Sterilization Tray are as follows.

A neutral pH detergent, less than pH of 10.5, should be used to prevent corrosion.•NOTE: Enzymatic humectant sprays and aerosols that retain moisture on soiled instruments can cause corrosion of the battery contacts.Avoid their use on batteries.



Under running water or using a dampened lint-free cloth, remove all tracesof blood and debris.


Load the battery in the trayEnsure proper orientation of the battery. Contacts must not face down.



•Use approved solutions for cleaning. It is recommended to use a neutralpH cleaner.

•Operate washer/sanitizer according to machine manufacturer’s instructions& specifications.•A dry cycle is recommended but not required.



Following the cleaning process, remove the batteries from the tray.Dry the battery with a clean, lint-free towel.Completely dry the contacts to prevent corrosion.



Once a week, clean the metal contact points on the battery. Use a cottonswab dampened with a metal approved, non-abrasive cleaning product.Load the batteries on the battery charger and charge to 100%. Once a full charge is indicated, batteries can then be sterilized.

* Exceeding maximum exposure and dry times may result in lithium batteryend of life
