Food Pantry
Our food pantry was developed to meet the on-going ministry to provide basic food for those in
need. We are continually in need of things like cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, pasta,
pasta sauce, juices & canned fruit. We are asking for donations of non-perishables
from our community to help maintain the needs of our parish. Thank you for your continued support of
this vital ministry!

Vacation Bible School
Our VBS theme this year is: A Radical Ride on the
Wings of Prayer
Date: June 25-29 Time: 8:30am-12:30pm
Where: MHT Parish Ages: Pre-K (Potty Trained) - 5th
It takes a village to make VBS a success & we are looking for volunteers who would like to help us this
year! We will need volunteers of all ages 7-12th grades, as well as
adult volunteers! Pick up a registration form to sign up your child or volunteer today!

Each summer we offer Vacation Bible School here at Most Holy Trinity and as with most things in
life...it’s not free. However, we never turn families away due to financial hardship. We often offer a
number of scholarships to those who wish to participate but cannot afford the fees.
With that, we turn to you our community and invite you to consider sponsoring a child for VBS this
summer. The cost per child is $50.

JOHN THE BAPTIST Since June 24 falls on a Sunday this year, the Church
has the opportunity for a more intense celebration of the birth of John the Baptist, who is often described as the
last of the Old Testament prophets and the bridge between Judaism and Christianity. More commonly, John is known as the "precursor" of our Lord Jesus
Christ. All the Gospels report John's basic message: Repent, the kingdom is near at hand.
One greater than I is coming. Though he was a wandering preacher who dressed in
camel skins and ate grasshoppers, John's legacy is one of true royalty. His origins are similar to those foretold by
God through the prophet Isaiah: "You are my servant, he said to me, Israel through whom I show my
glory" (Isaiah 49:3). John's humility--"I am not he"--was surpassed only by that of his Lord Jesus, the humble
servant who followed.

suffering that they may find peace and comfort. In Your name, Amen.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
In the coming weeks, Habitat for Humanity Tucson will host several home dedications for new 2018 Faith In Action homeowners. The dedication
includes a house blessing, comments from the homeowner and their Habitat partner and conclude
with a reception. Home dedications are a happy and festive occasion for the new homeowner family and volunteers who worked together to make this
home a reality.
Volunteer time is from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. Help is needed to set-up chairs and tables, arrange the food
table and help clean up afterward.
