COMPENSATION:

There shall be no compensation as part of this agreement. Kijiji grows is serving on a volunteersbasis. Any funds collected for this program on behalf of Mosswood/OPR shall go into an agreedfiscal account for oversight with spending approval required by Kijiji and a community designee ofOPR.

REPORTS:Kijiji Grows will provide OPR with quarterly reports with attendance monitored through rec warefor progress, and monitoring for attendance of the emerging ‘Jr. Master Gardener program.

COMPLIANCE: All employees and volunteers of OPR are mandated to go through a finger printing screeningthrough the use of State of California, Department of Justice. Each instructor will go through abackground check, drug test and is required to have a current TB test result on file.

SIGNAGE:

Kijiji shall not have permission to post, hang or install signage on the building or property withoutwritten authorization from OPR. All promotional materials relating to the Mosswood gardens musthave the OPR logo provided by the department.

CAPITOL IMPROVEMENTS: Kijiji shall not make any Capital Improvements, to the Propertywithout first obtaining the written consent from City. If Kijiji makes any Capital Improvements tothe Property, City shall have the option to require Kijiji to remove any such Capital Improvementsmade prior to the end of this Agreement at no cost to City,

PROGRAM SCOPE

Phase I o Kijiji will work collaboratively with OPR to develop a demonstration project in urban

gardening that can be transformed into a modern urban garden training center. o Mosswood Community Garden will serve as training facility where youth and community

can learn new concepts and alternative farming methods of urban gardening that can betransferred to home use.

Phase II - iGreeno Through computer classes, children and youth the future of urban gardening.o Instruct on how to build the and set up garden boxes, pump system and types of fish used as

well as chemistry, temperatures and other basic aspects of aquaponics required to sustainsuccessful gardening and food source.

o Youth will be required to make a presentation to a school classroom, senior center orrecreation center explaining aquaponics and its significance to the future of urban gardening.

o At programs end each student who has fulfilled the requirements of the entire program willbe given the distinction of ‘Jr. Master Gardener’ certificate.

participate in running a mini farmers market at Mosswood Park. o Youth will learn through this process urban food production and marketing skills.o Entrepreneur project will cultivate their newly acquired aquaponics gardening knowledge in

a commercial production environment while giving the program some form of financial self-

The public aquaponic partnership classes for adults, youth, schools and relatedcommunity based organizations have potential for additional revenue generation thatcan be used to help make urban gardening training a self-sustaining program. Theblue print of this program can be used for gardening programs in other parks.
